Brand Story
Da Chunlin: A 400-year Aromatherapy Model

Founder Profile + Motto
In 1628, during the first year of the Chongzhen reign of the Ming Dynasty, Dai Chun Lin opened the first fragrance powder shop in Yangzhou. His family had generations of experience in traditional Chinese medicine decoction and aromatic formulae. The calligrapher Dong Qichang inscribed the shop sign, and the products quickly became imperial tributes. Family motto: "Strictly follow ancestral teachings. Delicate and subtle. No deception towards children or the elderly and the sale should be fair."
Founding Background
Over 400 years ago, Dai Chunlin, a local traditional Chinese medicine practitioner from Yangzhou, and his wife Shi jointly researched and established the first fragrance powder shop specialising in women's skin care. In the first year of the Chongzhen era, Dai Chun Lin first presented ‘duck egg-shaped’ pearl perfume powder to the imperial court, becoming the ‘imperial tribute powder,’ and was widely favoured by the royal family and literati. Thereafter, the brand spread to Beijing, Huguang, Jiangnan, and Zhejiang, becoming a leader in incense and beauty products during the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Inheritance from Generation to Generation
Shi Lian (16th generation): After liberation, she upheld traditional Chinese medicine principles of health preservation, researching "foot bathing with mugwort and ginger" and "body fumigation with medicinal baths", so that the family aromatherapy culture was deeply rooted in people's daily life. ([Dai Chunlin][1]).
Mu Hongjun (17th generation): In 2002, he revived the brand ambition. After four years of textual research and restoration of ancient prescriptions, he officially restored the "Dai Chun Lin" trademark in 2009 and invested in modern production and research and development .
Mu Qing (18th generation): Inheriting the "craftsman spirit", she repeatedly tested the formula thousands of times, strictly selected EU-certified raw materials, and integrated ancient aromatherapy with contemporary biotechnology for innovation.
